Supported Employment

Empowering Futures in West London

(covering Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Hammersmith and Fulham)

Our approach is multi-faceted, beginning with in-depth vocational profiling, using a person-centred process to gain a thorough understanding of each young person's unique aspirations, inherent talents, developed skills, and individual support needs. This detailed profile then informs the development of targeted services, tailored interventions and support to address specific barriers and challenges. Furthermore, we facilitate access to accredited qualifications at entry-level to equip young people with the essential skills and recognised credentials that enhance their employability and open doors to further opportunities.

Our supported employment specialists will train and coach job seekers to prepare them for the world of work and support them in finding employment opportunities, moving into paid work and providing in-work support. We advocate for accessible and inclusive recruitment practices that focus on understanding an individual's strengths and potential through practical engagement. Evidence from the UK and internationally, demonstrates that with the right support, people with learning disabilities, including those with more complex needs, can secure and maintain valued paid employment. We use a place-based approach and are a proud member of the British Association of Supported Employment (BASE,) underscoring our commitment to evidence-based practices and ethical standards.
